Судя по аналогичному словообразованию в бот. словаре, - где, например, ramiflorus - с цветками на ветвях - то тут, выходит, с колючками на ветвях.
Колючеветвистый?

Вообще-то, он "ветвистоколючковый" 
Remarkable for the branched spines on the back of the neck between the operculum and cup like those of N. tentaculata.
