Chaenomeles sinensis (Thouin) Koehne
Gatt. Pomac. 28. 1890 [ & in Gartenflora (1891): 61; Deutsche Dendrol. (1893): 262]
Koehne made a new combination based on the name Cydonia sinensis Thouin and because of this the species epithet had to be corrected to “sinensis” although Koehne published the name as “Chaenomeles chinensis”."
